Cheers to Volunteers! – Melynn Sight

Melynn Sight has known Barnett Helzberg, founder of University Academy, all of her life. She was a Helzberg Leadership Fellow, and Barnett was her mother’s elementary school sweetheart. Melynn is now volunteering at University Academy in a unique anti-bullying curriculum, Step Up Sisterhood, which was developed by Synergy Services’ STOP Violence program. Melynn meets with a group of nine-year-old girls on a monthly basis to discuss bullying, rumors or injustices. She gets a chance to care for the hearts and souls of these girls who face challenging situations every day.
