The 2019 Nick and Jake’s Fore the Kids Golf Tournament was held on October 7th. More than 240 golfers played at Blue Hills Country Club or Nicklaus Golf Club. Afterward, players went to Nick and Jake’s Restaurant in Overland Park for a dinner, celebration, and an auction. Since 2009, Fore the Kids has raised more than $3 million for Children’s Mercy. For the past two years, the organization has supported the creation of the Nick Timmons Endowed Professorship in Developmental and Behavioral Sciences at Children’s Mercy. It is a new position to enhance research efforts to prevent suicide and treat anxiety, depression, and mood disorders in the adolescent population.
