Congratulations, Annemarie & Ethan!

Mr. and Mrs. Don Wesley Arnold of Fredericksburg, Virginia, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Annemarie Ysrael Arnold, to Ethan James Starr, the son of Dr. Alison Maria Scholes of Kansas City, Missouri, and Mr. James Philip Starr of Longboat Key, Florida. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Alfred Curie Ysrael of Tamuning, Guam, and the late Mr. Ysrael and Mrs. John Arnold of Catlett, Virginia, and the late Mr. Arnold. Annemarie is a graduate of The Athenian School in Danville, California. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy and biology from Boston College. Annemarie is a student at Catholic University of America. She will receive a master’s degree in moral theology in May. 

Her groom-elect is the grandson of Dr. Susan Anne Ellis of Kansas City, Missouri, and the late Mr. Gordon Arthur Scholes, Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. John Philip Starr of Sarasota, Florida. Ethan is a graduate of The Pembroke Hill School. He was a Gentleman of The Jewel Ball in 2018. Ethan earned a bachelor of arts degree in art history and political science from Boston College. He will receive a master’s degree in architectural history from the University of Virginia in May. Ethan is employed as the director of museum operations and outreach with the Louisa County Historical Society in Louisa, Virginia. Theirs will be a July 29th wedding at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mineral, Virginia.
