Congratulations, Bonnie & Jack!

Mr. and Mrs. John Woodson Longan of Leawood, Kansas, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Bonnie Merriman Longan, to Jahn Thomas Kudrna, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jahn Scott Kudrna of Auburn, Nebraska. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stewart McKie of Prairie Village, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Silas Woodson Longan III of Overland Park, Kansas, and Mr. John Thomas Newman of Overland Park, Kansas, and the late Mrs. Newman. Bonnie is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. She was a Jewel Ball debutante in 2017. A BOTAR page in 2006, Bonnie is a BOTAR, class of 2021. She earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting, a bachelor of arts degree in French, and a master of science degree in business analytics from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. A member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, Bonnie is employed with Forvis CPAs in Kansas City, Missouri. 

Her groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Francis Olson and Mr. Roger Lynn Kudrna of Lincoln, Nebraska, and the late Mrs. Kudrna. Jack is a graduate of Auburn High School. He earned a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Jack was a BOTAR escort in 2021. A member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity, he is currently earning a master’s degree in polymer engineering at the University of Wisconsin. Jack is employed with the Honeywell National Security Campus in Kansas City. Theirs will be a December 31st wedding at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Kansas City.
