Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Charles Nemes of Singer Island, Florida, and Mr. and Mrs. Reinhard Helmut von Hollander of West Hartford, Connecticut, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Dara Ilene von Hollander, to James Scott Whitaker, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John William Whitaker of Our Town. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Reichstein of Boca Raton, Florida, and Mrs. Walter von Hollander of Westfield, Massachusetts, and the late Mr. von Hollander. Dara is a graduate of North Broward Preparatory School in Coconut Creek, Florida. She graduated magna cum laude from The Fashion Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science degree in advertising and marketing communications. Dara is careering with Cambria in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Her groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Bernard Scott Reardon of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and the late Mr. Reardon, the late Mrs. Norman Gordon and the late Mr. James H. Whitaker. Jimmy is a graduate of Rockhurst High School. He earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business. He was a Jewel Ball escort in 2007 and a BOTAR escort in 2010. Jimmy is employed with Workiva in Minneapolis. Theirs will be an August 22nd wedding at The Minikahda Club in Minneapolis.
