Congratulations, Maggie & Jack!

Dr. and Mrs. Edward Francis Higgins of Mission Hills, Kansas, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Dr. Margaret MacBean Higgins, to Dr. John Frederick Shuler, the son of Dr. Perri Ann Ginder and Dr. Frederick Noah Shuler of Kansas City, Missouri. The bride-to-be and her groom-elect are both graduates of The University of Kansas School of Medicine. Maggie is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Middlebury College. Maggie is a urology resident at the University of Kentucky.

Jack is a graduate of Rockhurst High School. He received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Miami University of Ohio and a master’s degree in physiology from Georgetown University. Jack completed an internal medicine residency at Oregon Health and Science University. A member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, he is a fellow in palliative care at The University of Kansas Medical Center. Theirs will be an August 29th wedding at Village Presbyterian Church in Prairie Village, Kansas.
