Kyle Elizabeth Kilroy and Joel Anthony Nelson were married on August 9th at Country Club United Methodist Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Terrence Kilroy of Our Town. Kyle is the granddaughter of Mrs. Dan Edward Maurin of Kansas City, Kansas, and the late Mr. Maurin and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Muir Kilroy. Her groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Garth Nelson of Fort Collins, Colorado. Joel is the grandson of Mrs. Norris Theodore Nelson of Santa Barbara, California, and the late Mr. Nelson and the late Dr. and Mrs. John Clarence Wohlrabe.
On the evening prior, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Kansas City Club. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a beautiful reception at The Kansas City Country Club. Katherine Kilroy, sister of the bride; served as the maid of honor. Abby Spell, cousin of the bride; Ashley Vlach, Dr. Ashley Jenkins, Maggie Limbaugh, Anna Stephens, Melissa McKinney, Kelly King, Carrie-Lynn Rodenberg, Hayley Besheer, Anna Ferber, and Colleen Small were bridesmaids. Rachel Nelson, sister of the groom; was a junior bridesmaid. The happy couple enjoyed a honeymoon to Mexico and is at home in Denver, Colorado. Kyle is careering with Lockton Insurance, and Joel is employed by NEI Electric Power Engineering.
