Each year, this black-tie event raises funds to support Starlight’s mission-based programs while bringing the community together in celebration of the arts. Emerging from Harlem, rent parties were a gathering where musicians raised funds to assist someone in paying their rent. Community LINC draws inspiration from these historical rent parties to host its fundraising event where folks can eat, drink, dance, and "raise the rent" for fellow Kansas Citians.
