Kansas City Girls Preparatory Academy – Leading with Love
Love was in the air for nearly 500 guests who gathered to celebrate the inaugural fundraiser, Leading with Love, to support the Kansas City Girls Preparatory Academy. The June 15th event was held at Loews Kansas City Hotel and featured remarks from Ann Tisch, founder of the young women’s leadership network schools; Christine Kemper, founder and board chair; and Tara Haskins, founding school leader, Kansas City Girls Preparatory Academy. Marwa, an Afghan immigrant, shared her story of coming to America and becoming a KCGPA student. Funds raised support the school’s mission of preparing young women to use their voices, to succeed in college, and to lead impactful, meaningful lives.
