Kansas City Rose Society – Rose Day

The first weekend in June was a busy time at the Laura Conyers Smith Municipal Rose Garden at Jacob L. Loose Park! On June 4th, the Kansas City Rose Society hosted its annual Rose Day. Taylor Smith was the event chair. Guests at the free event enjoyed performances by Bach Aria Soloists and Heart of  America Shakespeare Festival, face painting, balloon art, and refreshments. Also on the agenda that weekend was the annual Rose Show, which attracted more than 300 entries. Laura Dickinson and Barbara McCanse served as the co-chairs for the Rose Show.

Hundreds of children enjoyed free face painting, balloon art, and entertainment in the Rose Garden.
