Truman Library Institute – Reception and Ribbon-Cutting
Truman Library Institute held a Reception and Ribbon-Cutting at the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum on October 12th. The occasion was the opening of the exhibition, Portraits of Courage: A Commander in Chief’s Tribute to America’s Warriors, which will be on display through December 31st. Former President George W. Bush created the 66 portraits and one mural. The featured speaker was Sergeant First Class (ret.) Michael R. “Rod” Rodriguez, a subject of one of the portraits. Wielding the scissors for the ribbon-cutting were Mayra Raplinger and Pat Ottensmeyer, Truman Library Institute board chair.
