Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and The Ivy Community Service and Education Foundation’s 68th Debutante Ball
The Beta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and The Ivy Community Service and Education Foundation hosted the 68th Debutante Ball on February 26th. The theme for the virtual event was “A Celebration of Grandeur and Grace.” Twyla Woods-Buford, the midwestern regional director, gave a special greeting. Kimberlyn Jones choreographed the waltz for the debutantes and their presenters. Emily Ervin was named Miss Debutante, with Taylor Downton and Bria Evans tying for first runner-up. Emily also was named as Miss Fundraising. The title of Miss Scholarship was bestowed on Jourdan Dukes. Morghan Golloher was honored as Miss Congeniality and first runner-up for Miss Scholarship. All the other debutantes received book awards. Dr. Cleora Woods-Taylor served as general chairman, with Linda May as general co-chairman. Dr. Juana Hishaw is the chapter president, and Dr. Everlyn Williams is the foundation president.
