World Premiere – Opus 3875
The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts held a World Premiere of a documentary film about the making of the Julia Irene Kauffman Casavant Organ, Opus 3875. Nearly 600 guests attended the March 1st event that included live organ selections by Jan Kraybill, organ conservator. Entitled Kingdom Come: The Making of Casavant 3875, the film was created by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation as a way to thank Julia Irene Kauffman for her gift of the pipe organ, among many other notable contributions to the Center.
