Job description: The Independent is looking for a Social Media Marketing Intern to join our team in March 2024. We are a privately owned publication located in Prairie Village, Kansas. Our focus is primarily on the cultural, philanthropic and social aspects of the Kansas City metro area.

The ideal person for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• Understanding of the following Social Media platforms: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
• Social Media Content Creation, Content Library Management and Post Scheduling
• Organization and punctuality
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Excellent time management skills for deadlines
• Professionalism
• Confidentiality
• Marketing, Advertising, Media, and Journalism Major is a plus but not mandatory
